Frequently asked questions
Can I buy a ticket on the gate on the day?
The airshow is strictly pre-sold tickets only and there will not be any tickets available on the gate.

Do children need a ticket?
Yes, when booking, please select a FOC ticket for any children under the age of 12 years old.

Do I have to print my ticket(s)?
We recommend that you print a copy of each ticket and that you ensure they are kept clean and dry for validation on arrival. Tickets can only be scanned once and are only valid for the date booked. Damaged or defaced tickets will not be accepted and all tickets are non-refundable. If you are unable to print your ticket, please ensure you download your ticket before arrival at the event as there is no WIFI available and mobile phone signal at the showground is limited. Please be aware that if your phone or device has a cracked or damaged screen your ticket may not be able to be scanned and therefore you may be unable to enter the event. We would always recommend printing your ticket(s).

Can I collect my tickets on arrival?
No. General admission and premium parking tickets will be emailed when purchased. VIP tickets will be sent out in advance of the event.

Are there any discounts for seniors, students or visitors with a disability?
Unfortunately we do not offer discounted tickets for seniors, carers, students or visitors with a disability.

Is parking free?
Standard parking is included within your event ticket. You will be required to show your valid event ticket(s) to the traffic management team in order to gain entry to the car park. We would encourage you to car share where possible to relieve the pressure on traffic in and out of the car parks.
A limited number of premium parking spaces will be available to purchase in advance for an additional £10 per car.

Can I purchase a premium parking space on arrival at the event?
No. Premium parking is limited and only available to purchase in advance via the website.

Is there parking for motorcycles?
Motorcycles will be parking in the car park field which is on grass, riders may wish to bring a stand support in case of soft ground. You will be required to show your valid event ticket(s) in order to gain entry to the car park.

Is the car park on hard standing or grass?
All parking areas are on grass and some parking is in uneven grass fields.

Can we bring a van?
Parking is on grass and therefore is only suitable for cars, motorcycles and small van types - up to transporter vans. The car parks are not suitable for large vans, mini buses or coaches.

What time will the car park open?
All car parks will be open from 8.00am. Please ensure you have your valid ticket(s) to hand when entering the car park to ensure we can get you into the car park as quickly as possible.

Will there be a drop off point?
There will be a drop off point signposted.
​
Will there be shuttle buses to the event?
Unfortunately there will not be shuttle buses to / from the event.
​
Is there camping?
There will be no on-site camping facilities at the event.
​
Is there Blue Badge parking? *Disabled parking still available to book currently - deadline for applications is 5pm on Wednesday 19th June, any forms submitted after this time will not be processed*
We, we have a limited number of blue badge parking spaces available to blue badge holders by prior application only. Blue badge holders are required to contact us directly to book, please fill in an application form: Disabled parking application

Are dogs allowed?
No, unfortunately dogs are not permitted anywhere on site. Please do not bring dogs to the event or leave them in your car in the car park.

Can we bring a picnic?
You are welcome to bring a picnic and camping type chairs, however we ask that you take all rubbish home with you or use the bins provided. Please note: we do not allow any structures such as gazebos or tents to be erected anywhere on site.

Are the same aircraft flying each day?
We plan to have the same aircraft flying each day, with the exception of the RAF Red Arrows who can only attend on the Sunday. Please note: All aircraft are subject to weather and serviceability.

Can we bring steps or stools to get a better view?
The use of step ladders or stools are not permitted anywhere on site as they present a safety hazard and inhibit the view for others at the event.

Can we bring radios?
Radios are permitted however, antenna must be no longer than 1 metre. Any antenna exceeding 1 metre will be confiscated for the safety of others.

Can we bring a BBQ?
No, BBQ's are strictly prohibited.
​
Will there be catering available at the event?
There will be a number of different catering and refreshment options available, as well as a beer festival in Hangar One.
Will the Aviator bar and restaurant be open?
The Aviator bar and restaurant will be open as part of the event, those attending the event can utilise the facilities in the Aviator. The Aviator will not be accessible to those without valid tickets to the event.

Will the Sywell Aviation Museum be open?
Sywell Aviation Museum will be open as part of the event, those attending the event can visit the museum. The Museum will not be accessible to those without valid tickets to the event.

Will the Pilots Mess be open?
The Pilots Mess will be open as part of the event, those attending the event can visit the Pilots Mess. The Pilots Mess will not be accessible to those without valid tickets to the event.

Can we book to stay at the Aviator?
The Aviator Hotel bedrooms will not be available on general sale.
​
Can I buy tickets over the phone or via email?
Ticket sales are online only via the website. Please do not try to call or email to purchase tickets.

How can I apply for a Trade Stand at the event?
Please download our Traders Pack for more information.

Can I bring my classic car to display at the event?
Classic cars on display at the event are limited, and only classic cars in production pre 31st December 1979 would qualify. Please note: Classic cars would be required to arrive on site by 10.30am and depart after the air displays have finished. Classic cars will need to be road worthy and driven to the event and not brought on a trailer. If you would like to bring your classic car to display at the event, please apply in advance via email: info@sywellaerodrome.co.uk

Will there be a flight line walk?
Yes, access will be an additional £5 and tickets for this can be purchased on the day at the entrance to the flight line walk. More information with regards to the flight line walk will be available closer to the event.

Will there be WIFI?
WIFI is not available on the airfield.
​
Is commercial filming / photography permitted?
No commercial filming or photography is permitted unless prior permission has been given. All commercial filming / photography enquiries should be submitted in advance of the event via email to airshow@warbird.flights
​
Will there be facilities for disabled guests?
There will be toilets with disabled facilities available.
​
How do we find out what aircraft are attending?
Please visit our Aircraft page for a full list of the aircraft confirmed to attend the air display at the event. Please note that all aircraft are subject to weather conditions on the day and serviceability. Sywell Aerodrome / Ultimate Warbird Flights reserve the right to change the advertised display aircraft if required.

Can I fly into Sywell Aerodrome to attend the event?
Unfortunately it will not be possible to fly into Sywell to attend the event.​
​
Do FOSA members get a discount on tickets?
Unfortunately we are unable to offer discounted tickets to FOSA members.
